Social Responsibility
Our first responsibility is to the people of El Nido. H Hospitality Group employs more than 500 people in El Nido, which means hundreds of families supported by steady work. Moments like the Sports Fest bring every property together as one team — and we share our success generously, with a raffle of around ₱420,000 in prizes, from motorcycles to trips to Taiwan. We care just as much for the place itself: since 2016 the Nacpan Sea Turtle Center has helped more than 76,000 hatchlings reach the sea, and through Paw Rescue El Nido, which we started, we bring in veterinarians and volunteers for free spay-and-neuter clinics — more than 1,000 dogs and cats so far.
At H Hospitality Group, we are dedicated to forging a sustainable future for our people, our community and the environment. Our CSR initiatives are a testament to our unwavering commitment to making a positive difference in El Nido and beyond, one step at a time.

About the Center
Nacpan Sea Turtle Center is the largest private sea turtle conservation hub on Nacpan Beach, Palawan — dedicated to turtle conservation, rescue and environmental education. It is supported by H Hospitality Group, and everything it does starts from one simple line: loving turtles, loved by turtles.

How It Began
Sylvia and her partner Henry first came to El Nido in 2014 as backpackers and fell for Nacpan Beach. When Sylvia learned that some locals were digging up turtle eggs to sell for extra income, her first reaction was: “Let’s buy the eggs back.”
150 eggs
They paid ₱1,000 for 150 eggs and reburied them by hand. None hatched — once turtle eggs are shaken, they stop developing.
2016 · Expert help
Sipadan turtle expert David McCann began mentoring them by email on 25 November 2016, and the Nacpan Beach Turtle Hatchery was born.
2017 · On the beach
Philippine ecology expert Jamie Dichaves flew to Nacpan to teach the team how to protect nests on site.
Today
Every year more hatchlings reach the sea — more than 76,000 since 2016.
Why It Matters
Six of the world’s seven sea turtle species are endangered, and at Nacpan the decline is not natural selection. Folk beliefs that turtle eggs are nourishing, a black market driven by hard livelihoods (a nest of 50–100 eggs sells for about ₱5 an egg) and predators such as stray dogs, termites and sea birds all take their toll. Three species nest here: the olive ridley, the hawksbill and the green sea turtle. Survivors return 12–30 years later to the very beach where they were born.

Rescue & Rehabilitation
In 2026 the Center received official government authorisation to rescue and rehabilitate injured sea turtles. With almost no resources on the beach, the first hospital tank was a blue water drum cut in half and refilled with seawater by hand — with advice from specialists in the Philippines and Taiwan.

Case 01 · Recovered & released
A young green turtle found floating at the surface, too weak to dive. She refused food for four days; after 54 days of care she was released on 7 April, a tag shimmering on her front flipper.

Case 02 · In memory
A 50-plus-year-old green turtle a fisherman had known for years, found motionless in the shallows, covered in barnacles and with a fractured leg. Despite veterinary care he passed away after 12 days — no plastic was found inside him, but his organs had long been overburdened.
Rito, a young green turtle wounded in a spearfishing attempt near Helicopter Island, spent 38 days in care before dashing back into the ocean on 20 May 2026.
Visit the Center
Two sessions a day let you join a guided tour, hear the turtles’ stories and learn about their ecology and conservation. Stay on for a craft workshop, start the day with ocean-view yoga, or join a weekend beach cleanup — and if you are lucky, help release hatchlings back to the sea. Online booking opens in late October.

Our Mission
Paw Rescue El Nido is the animal welfare programme H Hospitality Group started for the stray cats and dogs of El Nido, Palawan. We organise the clinics and bring in veterinarians, volunteers and local partners to make them happen.

Growing Every Year
How it began
Weekly free spay and neuter clinics with Vet in Practice, a respected veterinary group from Manila. In one month we hosted six teams of five veterinarians and provided their accommodation. Year one: 27 animals.
Year two
Rice donations were added for participating families, and more than 100 animals were sterilised in a single month.
2025 · Paw Rescue El Nido is founded
Cat session 30 Sept – 2 Oct, dog session 4 – 6 Oct: 382 procedures over six days with veterinarians and 30+ volunteers, followed by community talks on responsible pet care.
2026 · Second anniversary
A two-day Nacpan drive with local government and animal welfare groups in July (171 spay and neuter procedures, 113 vaccinations), then a six-day island-wide campaign in September — cats 21–23, dogs 25–27 — with 486 free surgeries and 113 doses of rabies and core vaccines. All years together: more than 1,000 animals.
September 2026 · Results
The 2026 campaign has wrapped up: 486 free spay and neuter surgeries and 113 doses of rabies and core vaccines in six days, bringing the total past 1,000 animals. Thank you to every veterinarian, volunteer and partner — the next clinics will be announced soon.

Swim · Bike · Run
In the clear, calm waters of El Nido's bays.
Along coastal roads between limestone cliffs and rice fields.
To the finish, with El Nido's scenery all the way.
Two support vehicles accompanied the athletes along the course, keeping the race safe from the first stroke to the finish line.
Why El Nido
El Nido already draws world attention — Entalula Beach was named the World's Best Beach for 2026, and Palawan topped the 2025 World's Best Islands list. Warm, sheltered bays for the swim, quiet coastal roads for the bike and dramatic limestone scenery for the run make it a natural stage for endurance sport.
The Goal
The mini triathlon was a proof of concept: that El Nido has the waters, the roads, the logistics and the hospitality to host an international triathlon. H Hospitality Group hopes to welcome an IRONMAN event to El Nido — and the athletes, families and fans who would come with it.

The Inaugural Edition
On 11 September 2026, H Hospitality Group held its first company-wide Sports Fest on Nacpan Beach. Around 400 team members from hotels, restaurants, tours and offices across El Nido formed five teams for a full day of games, food and friendly competition — one of the largest employee gatherings in the group's history.

How It Began
The idea
It began with a wish from the group's President to bring everyone together for an early Christmas party. The HR team proposed a Sports Fest instead — a way to connect employees across every property.
August 2026
After being parked as a vision while dates were uncertain, the event was green-lit in August, and 10–11 September was set on the calendar.
The team
Revenue Head Russel Jhon Batoy helped block the dates, while HR led the planning. Learning & Development and Employee Engagement (LDEE) Manager Mico Parcon and LDEE Officer Fabienne Garvilles organised the committee and led preparations on the ground.
One month to deliver
One major planning meeting divided responsibilities across logistics, programme, food and games. With properties spread across El Nido, committee members often worked separately and coordinated remotely — and delivered the event in about a month.

Games Day
Friday 11 September 2026 · Nacpan Beach, El Nido · 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Every event fed into one overall team score — the team with the highest combined score took home the title.

The Aftermath

Funding & Sponsors
Approximately ₱320,000 was allocated for the Sports Fest, covering food, logistics, activities, prizes and other operational needs for around 400 employees and participants. Sponsorship support from Globe, JR&R Distributors, Inc. and Ziablue supplemented the company's resources.
Beyond Sports Fest
In previous years, HR supported team-building activities held separately at each property; the 2026 Sports Fest was the first to bring the whole organisation together. HR also organises and supports community initiatives:
